Foreigners not allowed on `Tezz` sets!

There were some unexpected guests at the sets of Tezz at Filmistan Studios yesterday. A FEW Shiv Sainiks arrived to test at the foreigners who were present for the shoot.

Mallika Sherawat, who's doing an item number Laila within the movie, was shooting when the Shiv Sainiks arrived. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan, Kangna Ranaut and Sameera Reddy.

Says a unit source, "They said that they wouldn't allow foreigners to shoot for a Hindi movie in Maharashtra."

The source adds, "The production head explained to them that the foreigners were there for a few shots that will be wrapped up in exactly an hour."

But consistent with an insider, "The production personnel told the Shiv Sainiks that there have been no foreigners at the sets. The dancers present were all members in their respective association.

It was just that for the reason that film's story is ready in London, we had a few foreigners playing cops coming to test the pub for Ajay and Zayed's characters, while Mallika is performing."

Fortunately for the Tezz team, the problem was sorted out by late afternoon. "ONCE WE had finished couple of shots featuring the foreigners, they left. And the shoot

continued as normally as before," informs the unit source.

Producer Ratan Jain confirmed that some Shiv Sainiks had arrived at the sets. "My people spoke to them and it was sorted out. The shoot is happening and can be wrapped up in three days."

Veena Malik to star opposite Ashmit Patel in `Supermodel`

Veena Malik has just signed a freelance for a Bollywood film, during which she's going to be paired opposite Indian actor and rumoured ex-flame Ashmit Patel.

The 25-year-old insisted that the film titled 'Supermodel' would showcase the sizzling chemistry between her and Patel.

"This is where people gets to look the rocking chemistry between Ashmit Patel and myself, long after the 'Bigg Boss' episode," the specific Tribune quoted Malik as saying.

"It might be shot in Australia and the Fiji Island and because I REALLY LIKE travelling, it is going to be super fun," she added. Reportedly, Malik also has plans to be a part of a couple of Indian fashion shows as well.

Did Neil and Ankita have a spat?

To wash their dirty linen in public seems to became Bollywood stars' favourite pastime these days.

After the new public brawls involving A-list stars Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan, we have now a subtler but equally attention grabbing spat between Neil Nitin Mukesh and his 'good friend' model Ankita Shorey.

What we heard The Miss India winner apparently had a public meltdown at Riteish Deshmukh's brother Dheeraj Deshmukh's reception party on Tuesday evening where she seemed visibly upset with Neil.

Says an eyewitness, "THERE HAS BEEN a separate area for the celebrities to dine near the Konkan ballroom and we saw Neil and Ankita sitting together.

She was so angry that she had no idea people were taking note of her. She was screaming at him on the top her voice. She was claiming that Neil broke his promise to introduce her to producers on the party.

She kept saying, "YOU MAY HAVE embarrassed me. You were presupposed to introduce me to people, but you weren't even me on the party. You were imagined to include me, but you came with Puja (Gupta).

This is very unacceptable." Neil apparently went for the sangeet with Sonal Chauhan and later to the reception with Puja Gupta, something that clearly didn't go down too well with Ankita.

At the party, she looked to be somewhat high and hence didn't realise that folks were watching them. Apparently, during the night the argument blew out of proportion leading to Ankita breaking down in tears.

Adds the source, "Ankita started crying and rushed to the women room. Neil followed her in there. A LADY who spotted them together throughout the bathroom said that they were having a fight there in addition. She apparently told him, "I DIDN'T expect this from you. I'M sending my driver to pick out up all my stuff. That is over between us!"

However, individuals who spotted them fighting also saw them together at a late night after party thrown by Jackky Bhagnani.

Adds the source, "By the tip of it they appeared to have worked things out because they were cosying up on the after party. They both seemed a bit drunk, so I SUPPOSE it was a kind of lovers spats which got over after a while."

Neil's version It wasn't a fight. It's disgusting that I NEED TO justify to the arena what I do in my personal life. Ankita is an overly sweet girl and he or she is a chum. She was upset about something and all I USED TO BE doing is making an attempt to pacify her. She isn't my girlfriend, but I'VE known her for some time now and we're a part of the similar friend circle. So far as me introducing her to people goes, all I WILL say is I HAVEN'T had a godfather on this industry and everybody has to search out their very own way. Having said that, I CAN help her in whatever way I can.

Ankita's version Neil and that i weren't fighting over another girl, but over a man. There has been someone on the party, whose name I CAN'T mention, who misbehaved with me. I USED TO BE very upset and disturbed at that time and hence I USED TO BE crying. I went into the washroom and Neil came in. I BELIEVE that's where he went slightly wrong. He was eager about me. He was lecturing me about how I cannot take these items seriously. Once I asked for my stuff, all I meant was I WISHED to select up my shawl, which was in Neil's car. And no we aren't seeing each other.

Filmmaker dumps his actor buddy

In an industry that worships success, it is not uncommon to peer failure cause an end to many an association.

Buzz is that two childhood friends, one a famous actor (who just turned dad) and another a producer/director, have decided to part ways after a few their movies did not make any mark. No wonder then that the latter is moving directly to make his third movie with an action star now.

The director, who has delivered two box office duds (including a superhero flick) along with his actor friend, has apparently taken a break to provide a few ventures under his family banner. Meanwhile, he's also engaged on the script of his third film as director. However, his actor buddy is definitely not within the running for the lead role, or another role on this film for that matter.

Says a source, "SEEING THAT the actor's previous few films haven't exactly hit bull's eye on the box office, our director thinks that he is not lucky for him. Obviously, he couldn't say it to him in such a lot of words."

So the filmmaker opted out the easier way and blamed astrology instead. "The director told the actor that he feels their stars don't seem to be in harmony. That's why their films together haven't worked. And that's the reason also why he's planning his next directorial venture with another actor," adds the source.

Fortunately, for the filmmaker, the actor was happy with his honesty. "He also told him that otherwise, he'd have worried why his director pal didn't cast him in his new movie. On the same time, he also wished his buddy the entire best for his movie with the action hero," claims the source.

Not surprisingly, the director is excellent friends with the star, although the latter is some years older. Besides, the action hero had acted in a film produced under the filmmaker's banner some time ago. The formal announcement will apparently be made after the principal cast is signed for the movie.
