Another hottie goes topless for Rs 50 lakh
While Bollywood wannabes like Poonam Pandey, Rozlyn Khan, Veena Malik, Nisha Yadav and others has been circulating their so-called nude photographs to one and all and to anybody who bothers to look, one actress is quietly raking within the moolah working with international glamour magazines.

Bollywood actress and model Gulshan Sharma recently shot a nude centre spread and canopy for a French magazine for which she was reportedly paid Rs 50 lakh.

“Since the specific issue featuring Gulshan Sharma at the cover is yet to hit the stands, we aren't at liberty to say the name of the magazine. We can't share the nude photographs as they're copyrighted and belong solely to the magazine.

But we will confirm that Gulshan shot within the nude for a French magazine last week for his or her August issue,” said Gulshan Sharma’s manager.

Gulshan Sharma too confirmed that she has recently done an excessively bold photo shoot for a world magazine.

“I am under contract with the magazine and can't breathe a word concerning the photo shoot or the payment for the same,” she said, however sources said that Gulshan could also be paid an equivalent amount of Rs 50 lakh for the whole frontal nude shoot.

We managed to get a couple of photographs of the photo shoot - after all not the nude ones, as they're closely guarded given the truth that the magazine has paid an enormous sum for them.

Ash overweight? Celebrities also are human beings: Bachchan
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, whose daughter-in-law actress Aishwarya Rai has recently found herself in the course of media attention as a result of her post-pregnancy weight, says he's amazed by the global interest in celebrity lifestyle

He rues how celebrities must carry a grin on their face even within the worst times. "Celebrity interest is not only an Indian phenomenon, it's worldwide too. In case you are celebrity, that is the cross you shall perforce must carry with a grin.

Do no wrong and also you will be safe, but be prepared for the worst even if a small wrong was done," Amitabh wrote on his blog.

"Celebrities don't seem to be some outer world aliens, they're as human as you and me. Mistakes and errors might be made and will be highlighted. The courage and strength to continuously face it, is what counts. Some do a marvellous job, others succumb. Some make light of it, others get affected," he added.

The 69-year-old says while some may be able to cope, others succumb to constant media scrutiny.

"Each has his or her own way of coping with it. But this should be remembered. Printed in black and white and seen now in colour on screens of idiot boxes, is a record for posterity and eternal. If it is wrong or right isn't the issue," he said.

"What have been registered is registered for all times and beyond too. Those who still live have opportunity to bear and maintain it as should they might. Those who have left us for heavenly abode, aren't present today to defend or clarify an accusation or an opinion they are going to have disagreed with," he added.

Ranbir recalls sweet memories of grandpa Raj Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor was all of six when his legendary grandfather, Bollywood actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor gave up the ghost in 1988. At the latter's 24th death anniversary Saturday, the young actor shared vivid memories of being pampered by him with toffees.

"Raj Kapoorji passed on to the great beyond after I was very young. I USED TO BE six years old. My favourite film of his is 'Shree 420'," Ranbir said here.

Ranbir has some 'sweet' tales to inform of his experiences together with his grandpa, who held sway over the Hindi film industry producing, directing and acting in successful movies like "Barsaat" (1949), "Awaara" (1951) and "Chori Chori" (1956).

"I still remember he used to name us to his room... including me. All my cousins -- Kareena and others from Delhi -- used to come," the 29-year-old said.

"He used to name us to the room and he used to have all of the toffees with him. All of us used to take a seat and he used to invite us to perform. And getting that one toffee was an excessively big deal," he added.

Raj Kapoor died of complications associated with asthma on the age of 63.

Parineeti, Arjun say acting schools are important
"Ishaqzaade" co-stars Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor feel training at an acting school may also be extremely helpful. While Parineeti says it's too late to sign up for one now, Arjun says training helps you face failure and eggs you on.

"It would was nice if I MIGHT have gotten a platform to be told acting. Now there's no time. But we do attend workshops before we start shooting," the actress said at the sidelines of an event at Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods International here.

Arjun, son of filmmaker Boney Kapoor, said: "For an actor you will need to be capable to face failure in front of the camera. Acting school teaches and supports you a lot."

Both actors has been highly appreciated for his or her performance in "Ishaqzaade", produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Habib Faisal.

I'VE BEEN looked down upon: Rohit Shetty

I have been looked down upon: Rohit Shetty
Bollywood director Rohit Shetty of "Singham" fame says he isn't involved in talking about his labor. "I'VE BEEN looked down upon by my colleagues and media and that i don't speak about my hard work."

He was speaking Sunday during a panel discussion organised by students of Subhash Ghai's film school Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. The discussion was hung on the second one day of a movie festival organised by the scholars to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema.

Director R. Balki of "Paa" fame, Amol Gupte, who's known for his work in "Taare Zameen Par" and "Ishqzaade" director Habib Faisal were the opposite directors who sat at the panel. The discussion was moderated by film critic Rajeev Masand.

Talking about his peers, Rohit went directly to say how courageous they've been with a view to make their films. "All three of them are braver than me. I'D never have made my directorial debut with Rishi Kapoor within the lead," he said referring, to Habib's's film "Do Dooni Chaar".

"I would have also not handled a sensitive subject like that of 'Taare Zameen Par' or Amitabh Bachchan within the role of Auro, for 'Paa'," he added.

Known for his "Golmaal" series and "Singham", Rohit is regarded as as a director who makes sequels and remakes by many.

Defending his colleague, director Habib spoke concerning the labor required to make a remake. "THE ONE thing available for a remake is the script. Everything else must be done," he said.

Another major issue addressed by the panel was the difficulties faced by writers today. They were of the opinion that writers were not given the honour they deserved. "Writers are a unprecedented commodity today. They do not get the honor which they deserve. We still don't value them," Balki said.

The panel discussion was hung on the last day of the festival and veteran actress Hema Malini was present for the closing ceremony together with music composer Anu Malik.

"There are such a lot of filmmakers who came and went but only Subhash Ghai considered keeping something for the approaching generation. I'M sure you all are doing very well," she said.

Farah Khan on why she doesn’t wish to face the camera yet one more time

She made many dance to her moves, and now it's her turn to provide retakes until her director Bela Sehgal feels happy. Choreographer-director Farah Khan is all able to hit the 70mm screen, however the lady seems quite fed up of the job. In fact, she promises to not act in another film.

Farah quips, “Frankly speaking, I USED TO BE complaining 24x7 while shooting for the film. Staying in costume at all times was frustrating. I desperately desired to come again in my track pants and rubber chappals.”

She further complains, “It is a difficult job being an actress. They must worry about such a lot of things that appear so irrelevant to me.”

When we asked if acting (Farah plays a 40-year-old spinster within the film) was a hard task, she reverts, “In fact, acting came quite easy, but putting on make-up, doing up my hair, wearing a corset, putting on fake nails… all that was very tedious.

Even in real life, once I need to opt for a party, decking up is the very last thing I NEED to do. The issue isn't putting them on but removing them. Just imagine doing all that each day.” Calming down just a little Farah says, “I know people it, however it isn't just me.”

Will Ahana Deol never act?
Currently busy together with her career as a designer, the more youthful Deol scion doesn't rule out the silver screen in many years

After buzz that Ahana Deol was ready to surrender her acting ambitions, Hema Malini’s younger daughter shares her ‘never say never’ mantra with us. In truth Hema had previously spoken aloud that even while Ahana was curious about pursuing her designing career at that moment, things could change over a span of time.

Ahana, who’s holding an exhibition of her latest eco-friendly designs including yoga mats, bags and dresses, admits that becoming an actress was never a part of her plans. “But people have always perceived it that way,” she says.

So will she never act? “Not right now,” she says adding, “But you never know. What if I’m interested later? I'VE even written two scripts and I’m within the technique of writing some more. If I WOULD LIKE to direct them later in my life, then I will, but not on the moment.”

Right now, she just desires to be aware of her fashion designing. “Some of my pieces are eco-friendly. I’m quite aware of the environment,” she adds.

Five years down the line, Ahana says she could probably be doing the entire three — designing, acting and directing — or simply certainly one of them. “I’m all in favour of many stuff but I LOVE to live within the present and don’t plan much for the future,” says Ahana.
