Kavita Radheshyam re-loads Silk Smitha

Kavita Radheshyam re-loads Silk Smitha
It looks as if late Silk Smitha has become the flavour of the season and everybody’s icon this season. Kavita Radheshyam who shocked everyone by going nude for a photoshoot, raising her voice against animal cruelty, has now released one more shocker!

Kavita Radheshyam, who's now selected as a Brand Ambassador for Smriti India (Save The lady Child) has get a hold of this photoshoot which she dedicates and pays a homage to south Indian actress Silk Smitha who committed suicide within the year 1996.

According to Kavita, “Silk Smitha was an actress who dared to make a mark of her own in a male dominating film industry. She was never from any filmy background, not a ‘Star’ daughter, never followed any lobby-ism or group-ism.

Silk started as a small time make up artist in south cinema and went directly to become a celebrity in an overly short period. I'M a large fan of Silk Smitha and want to salute and tribute my photoshoot to her”.

Kavita further added “I cannot understand why individuals are seeking to talk or show Silk Smitha in a negative way, from what I'VE heard through my accurate sources from South, Silk was an overly all the way down to earth woman who went out of her approach to help people in need.

I met a producer whom I WILL NOT name, he had worked along with her and Silk didn’t charge a single penny for the reason that producer was in debt”.

On the shoot, she says, “First of all, my team was searching for costumes for this shoot, Designer Babita Sharma worked for 15 days and he or she came up with this concept of wearing only a white shirt and getting the images done. For those who search Silk at the internet, you will discover her mostly in a white shirt or a saree.

My photographer Reena Khan and artistic Eswar both were kind enough to turn me Silk Smitha’s cult Tamil hit film “Playboy”. After some long discussions, I'LL feel that my designer Babita Sharma and my photographers Reena Khan and Eswar were scared in the event that they could do any justice to the photoshoot.

But now, after seeing the results, all of us are more then happy. People literally started a comparison. A few of them also said that I WILL be today’s Silk Smitha, that is an honor for me”.

Kavita Radheshyam is awaiting the discharge of her upcoming hindi feature film 5 Ghantey Mien 5 Crore that is about to hit cinema’s in all places on Eid day. But this might even be a fresh idea of gaining publicity for the film in the name of Silk Smitha?

On this Kavita said "The film isn't yet completed. One song and a few climax portions are still left to be shot, If this was a Publicity Stunt, I'D have done this before the release of the Film".

First a Semi Naked photo shoot at the cruelty on animals in india, Then an over-coat jacket of brand name Ambassadorship of Smriti India (Save The woman Child) organisation, Now again a sizzling hot filled with expose photo shoot within the name of Tribute. If this isn't a movie Publicity stunt, Than is that this another way of grabbing media and public attention?

Only time will tell if this was a Silk Tribute or a walk to the trail of (Indian Style) Kim Kardashian.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa isn't a cake walk for Isha

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is not a cake walk for Isha
Isha Sharvani's background as a trained dancer left many saying that her participation in "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5" is bigoted given the non-dancers at the show. However the actress says there are lots of dance forms she isn't knowledgeable at and her choreographer has to work flat out to show her new styles.

"He (Salman) is teaching me so much! He's an even choreographer. He has landed up with a woman who's a classical dancer in a show with a format, which does not want classical dance. So I'm learning salsa, I'M learning western contemporary dance and these types of full on shaking shoulders and hips. All that may be something I DO NOT achieve this much, so he's having to work very hard with me," Isha told.

The 27-year-old is trained in traditional forms like Kalaripayattu, Chhau and Kathak. She may know the nuances of dance, but she refrains from dictating the terms during rehearsals.

"Salman is the choreographer - that's respectful. You cannot do this with the choreographer," she said.

The actress, who impressed all and sundry along with her dance in movies like "Kisna" and "Luck By Chance", belongs to a family deeply rooted in Indian art and culture. Her mother, Daksha Sheth, runs a dance gurukul, her father is a composer, and her brother is a percussionist.

While Isha was confident she desired to take part in "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5", her family was concerned, she said, adding: "They were very worried how I'D fit in."

But all's good for now, considering the praise and applause she have been receiving at the show.

Ace choreographer Remo D'Souza has already claimed that no person does Mallakhamb better than Isha in India. But he admits the show poses a challenge to her.

"It's a large challenge for Isha. People think she is an implausible dancer and she or he has a dance background. But she has a specific dance form which she is nice at - not the opposite dance forms. She has to struggle to get those dance forms correct," Remo told.

On the film front, the actress can be seen in Bejoy Nambiar's "David", so as to release towards the tip of the year.

True to the "Shaitaan" director's style, it is going to be an "edgy" film, she added.

Sonu feels `Maximum` won't earn Rs.100 crore but becomes `respectable` movie

Sonu feels `Maximum` may not earn Rs.100 crore but will become `respectable` movie
Sonu Sood starrer "Maximum" has got mixed reviews, however the actor is confident that the film will carve a decent" place" for itself without reference to its box office business.

"I do not know if my film will earn Rs.100 crore or not but it surely will certainly make a spot within the category of respectable films," the 38-year-old told reporters.

"Maximum", which hit the theatres Friday, is the tale of shootout specialists played by Sonu and Naseeruddin Shah.

Reviewers have given their verdict. Probably the most reviews said that "Maximum" shows minimum originality thereby making it a plain average attempt, while another says that the film is a case of an excessive amount of blood and blabber being wasted on a tale that was flogged to death.

. But Sonu is confident and says lots of people will identify with the subject.

"There isn't any message but it surely talks about an era which the general public have seen and they'll be capable of identify with it," said Sonu.

When it involves female leads, Sonu isn't choosy about working with established actresses.

"Frankly speaking, I CANNOT take one name. Until I DO KNOW about their role, I WILL NOT choose one. They're all brilliant, they're all big achievers. Whoever suits the role, be it a brand new girl or a longtime actress, I WILL BE ABLE TO always welcome them," he said.

"I have worked with they all and that i think I'VE worked with among the established actresses - Katrina (Kaif) in 'Singh Is Kinng' and with Kangna (Ranaut) I'VE done some southern films. Whoever is good, I'D love to work with them," he added.

`Big stars include numerous baggage`

`Big stars come with a lot of baggage`
After proving his mettle with "Rock On!!", Abhishek Kapoor wears the director's cap for "Kai Po Che" again and says he consciously chose newcomers over big stars for the film because he desired to execute the tale with none changes. The director feels the industry needs more fresh talent.

"Kai Po Che", the large screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's book "3 Mistakes of My Life", features TV actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav with Amrita Puri the feminine lead.

"Big stars include a large number of baggage. There are things they do not wish to do," Kapoor told in an interview.

"This (film) is a narrative about three young boys and massive stars on this bracket are at a stage of their career where they aren't sure. They're scared about who may be cast opposite them...they take into accounts these kind of things. I don't need to do that, I DO NOT wish to change my script because I'M casting a large star," he added.

"I think our industry can do with young people, we hardly have anyone. There are two or three people who find themselves getting all of the work. What would people do? It's important that new people get a possibility. The 3 actors in my film are fantastic. All of the big stars were also newcomers at some time," he said.

Kapoor, who won a countrywide Award for 2008 film "Rock On!!", discloses that Chetan Bhagat had offered him two of his books - "2 States: The tale of My Marriage" and three" Mistakes of My Life". He chose to compliment the latter.

"I thought this had great cinematic potential. I felt if it seems to be an excellent film it is going to be remembered forever. There may be such a lot in it: there's love, friendship, politics and cricket," said Kapoor.

Drafting the screenplay of "Kai Po Che", a victory cry heard in the course of the kite festival in Gujarat, took a large number of time.

"I took a while off after 'Rock On!!', then I chose the book. It took some time for me to draft it. It is not a race, I took my time and developed two new scripts," said Kapoor.

"As a book it goes into different directions, to be able to make a film out of it you need to draft it differently. AN EXCESSIVELY serious process goes into adapting a book for a movie. We now have changed it around 50 percent," he added.

After the stupendous success of "Rock On!!", expectations from "Kai Po Che" are high. But Kapoor is unperturbed.

"This is an absolutely new film. I'VE no fear of expectations. I DO KNOW while you will come and watch the film, you're going to forget 'Rock On!!'. There is not any similarity, it has a special style and i've also learned so much while working on it," he said.
