Big B wants Katy Perry’s autograph for granddaughter!

Big B wants Katy Perry`s autograph for granddaughter!Millions would run after Amitabh Bachchan to get his autograph, however the megastar is attempting to get American singer Katy Perry's signature for his granddaughter Navya Naveli.

Amitabh and Perry were a few of the star performers on the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Chennai Tuesday night.

"The granddaughter has a posh for the singer Katy Perry. I AM HOPING I'VE the name correct. Yes just checked, it's right... Navya wants her autograph for she loves her. So efforts are directly to make that happen," the 69-year-old posted on his blog.

It was Perry's maiden performance within the country, and she or he chose to head desi for her performance. She wore a blingy choli teamed with pink-coloured transparent lowers, and accessorised her look with a maang tika and bindis on her forehead.

Big B, who recited a poem on the ceremony, says he didn't learn about the 27-year-old pop icon earlier.

"I would probably get killed for this, but I had not heard of her till last night. The age difference is playing havoc," he added.

The actor, who's partial to evergreen and classic music by British rock band 'The Beatles', feels "today's grandchildren would 'snuff' at that".

Regrets not doing more films with Vidhu Vinod

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan regrets having worked only once with filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

"In the past 30 years, he has worked with me in exactly one film. I regret that. I'M HOPING he gives a thought over that again," the 69-year -old told reporters here Wednesday on the screening of "Eklavya: The Royal Guard". The film was shown on the Vidhu Vinod Chopra Film Festival to mark 30 years of the filmmaker's production company.

Amitabh played the lead role in "Eklavya: The Royal Guard", which was sent as India's official entry to the Oscars within the Best Foreign Film category in 2007. The film had also marked Chopra's return to direction after seven years.

After five years, Big B is doing another Chopra production titled "Taalismaan". In line with the unconventional "Chandrakanta", it's being directed by Ram Madhwani.

The Indian film industry has undergone a sea change within the previous couple of years - earlier the filmmakers used to celebrate Golden Jubilee on the box office, but now they're focusing just on first three-day box office collections in their movies.

Talking concerning the change, Amitabh said: "Earlier, we used to celebrate 25 weeks and 50 weeks to a film. Now we speak about a 100-crore club. It is a mindset. Today the sector thinks this fashion and earlier they used to think the opposite way," he added.

This was Amitabh's second public appearance after his abdominal surgery in February. Before that he made an appearance on the Indian Premier League 5 opening ceremony in Chennai Tuesday.

As far as his films are concerned, the megastar has finished shooting for Shoojit Sircar's "Shoebite" and he's going to even be seen in his first Hollywood venture - "THE GOOD Gatsby", being made by Baz Luhrmann.
