Even before his maiden production venture had released, Arshad Warsi had announced his plans of directing a movie.
Now, a few years after Hum Tum Aur Ghost tanked, the actor is preparing for his directorial debut. Interestingly, Munnabhai co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani too will feature within the film, at the side of Arshad.
For someone who started as a choreographer and is better known for his comic characters, Arshad is making his foray into direction with an action thriller, scripted by Soumik Sen.
A well-placed industry source tells us that the actor-turned-filmmaker is playing a conman within the movie while Sanjay’s and Boman’s characters are being kept closely under wraps.
“However, the type of chemistry Sanjay, Boman and Arshad share within the movie may be different from that during their Munnabhai series of films,” revealed our source. On his part, Arshad declined to touch upon his casting coup.
