 Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has landed up in legal trouble for publicly smoking on the Sawai Man Singh Stadium during
an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.
Jaipur Cricket Academy director Anand Singh Rathore has filed a complaint in more Chief Judicial Magistrate court in Jaipur
against Khan. “Smoking publicly is banned in Rajasthan since 2000. However, Shah Rukh Khan was smoking publicly in front of thousands of
spectators. The actor was broadcast live while smoking at the TV channel, which was showing the match,” Rathore's lawyer Nem
Singh Rathore was quotes as saying by DNA.
“The police was confiscating any objectionable items, including cigarettes while frisking. However, it sort of feels Shah Rukh was
allowed to hold the cigarette packet into the stadium, that's negligence on a part of the police also,” he said.
SRK was present on the stadium to cheer his team Kolkata Knight Riders at a match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
