Actress Devshi Khanduri, who was noticed for her debut film "Chargesheet", says theatre helps her maintain her acting skills.
"I have done numerous theatre. I LIKE it because there's a lot more creativity in it and it helps me keep my acting skills sharp. I keep learning a lot of new things once I am doing theatre, " Devshi Said.
But she says it's tough for an individual and not using a film background to make a mark within the industry.
"It took me two years of auditioning, and then I got "Chargesheet". For an individual like me, who's from a non-film background, it is very difficult to get into films. The collection of youngsters who need to get into the industry is huge, but only a few make it big.”
"I consider myself very lucky. But I needed to work very hard for this chance. And it feels great that whatever work I'VE got has been at the basis of my performance, " she said.
Now that she is getting good work, she makes sure she doesn't choose similar roughly roles. And had signed a Hollywood Film in which she is doing Lead role.
From a supporting actress to the primary lead -- the adventure was a learning one for Devshi.
"Playing a lead role means getting the limelight, but with everything else it comes with numerous responsibility and pressure. I'M HOPING I am capable of live as much as the expectancies and the film does well, " she said.
