As the comic Kajal bhai, who used to flaunt her contacts with film producers within the '90s show Hum Paanch, Bhairavi Raichura has now turned producer with a brand new TV show, Chhal - Sheh Aur Maat, a thriller on Colors.
Says Bhairavi, "IT HAS BEEN 18 years because the show but for individuals I'M still Kajal Bhai. They still stop me and speak about Kajal's antics. It's great that they still remember me."
Though Bhairavi went directly to do other roles, it is just with Balika Vadhu that to a point she could shed her image during which she played the primary protagonist's mother.
Her decision to show producer was a next step in her creative pursuits. She approached the channel with an concept and so they were extremely receptive about it.
"I take a look at the production side while my business partner Nandita Mehra oversees the creative aspects. We've got clear-cut roles."
Interestingly, she continues to be in touch together with her Hum Paanch co-star Vidya Balan. "We can we meet when time permits. We were all so young at the moment that shooting was a blast for us.
All folks would eat together and feature great fun even if the camera was on." She feels Vidya has not changed these kind of years. Professionally she has moved ahead, but personally she remains to be the similar person. The best way she talks, behaves is similar although she is now a large star."
