Just before launching their films, most stars hold a puja. And Akshay Kumar is not any exception to the norm except that he needed to face a piquant situation throughout the ceremony!
The star, who's producing a film according to Paresh Rawal's play, at the side of Ashwini Yardi was stunned when a number of the pandits demanded an introduction with Mithun Chakraborthy who was also present on the venue.
Akki might need sought divine intervention to roll his project but didn't realise that he'd be needing greater than just that with Mithunda around.
Says a source, "ON THE puja, a few pandits had begun conducting the ceremony, once they suddenly saw Mithun of their midst.
At this point, some of them appeared distracted with the Disco Dancer's presence." Adds the source, "Akshay was bowled over but agreed to the pandit's demands that they wanted an introduction with Mithunda."
Apparently the priests desired to showcase their acting skills to him! That is something which Akki can have not bargained for while seeking divine intervention.
The source continues, "IT'S GOING TO sound hilarious and everybody was bowled over. But Mithunda's presence created a flutter."
Akki's flick is tailored from the critically-acclaimed Gujarati play, Kanji Virrudh Kanji which was done in Hindi as Kishen v/s Kanhaiya. It tells the tale of an atheist who incurs huge loses when his shop is destroyed.
