Last year a lot of Bollywood films made record collections of over Rs.100 crore on the box office, but Akshay Kumar claims that during next five years things will change such a lot that even Rs.400 crore won't seem a large amount.
"After five years, Rs.400 crore could be too small. Hits and flops stick with it coming in its own way. I MYSELF feel carry on working. I delivered 14 flops together seven years back, big deal. You simply keep it up working.
Records will stick with it breaking. I challenge you within five years Rs.400 crore (collection) from India will happen," Akshay told reporters here.
Akshay starres like "Desi Boyz", "THANKS" and "Tees Maar Khan" didn't transform box office wonders, but he's unperturbed.
"Every someone has to head from high to low from low to high. In the event you remember the fact that then you definately will not be in trouble," the 44-year-old said.
Right now Akshay, referred to as one of the crucial highest paid actors in Bollywood, is gearing up for "Housefulll 2" release. That is his third film with director Sajid Khan and he feels Sajid's strength is his immaturity.
"With Sajid, I'VE always enjoyed. Besides, shooting one will always keep laughing with him. That may be another sign of immaturity while you say I'VE become matured. His strength is that he's immature. Because he's stuffed with fun and delight it may be shown in his films.
"He is not going to improve. He have to be as he's. It's better if he doesn't improve himself. He tweaks the dialogues. He's very spontaneous," he said.
The actor describes "Housefull 2", popping out April 5, as a narrative driven movie and said: " 'Housefull 2' is an entertaining film. There's a story within the film. The tale begins when Riteish Deshmukh desires to get married, while his father Mithun Da (Mithun Chakraborty) is an excessively strict man."
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Housefull 2" also features, Asin Thottumkal, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Shazahn Padamsee, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Boman Irani.
