After their bonding together at a recently held awards event, it comes as no big surprise that the actor has signed as much as do the choreographer-turned-director’s next film, titled Namak. The project is predicated at the drug trade in Madhya Pradesh and can see the actor in an action avatar.
Our source says, “Prabhu Dheva was keen that he signs Shahid for the film. He has seen his intense portrayal in Vishal Bharadwaj’s film. He'll however give him the mass entertaining image.
Shahid was keen to also see the feedback that he receives as Javed within the 1910 period of his upcoming film with Kunal Kohli as that is a personality appealing to the loads. To top it all, both Sasha and Prabhu bonded big time at a recently concluded award ceremony making it easier for Shahid to sign the film.”
The source adds, “Prabhu Devaa is likely one of the most wanted directors and is understood for his action films. Shahid hasn't ever done hardcore raw action before and it'll be interesting to peer him in an out and out action drama.”
Shahid Kapoor confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I'M working with Prabhu Dheva and this can be a full on masala film.”
