RGV finally zeroes in on his ‘Kasab’

RGV finally zeroes in on his `Kasab`After auditioning 500 applicants, RGV has finally found an actor to play Ajmal Kasab, the prime accused terrorist within the 26/11 attack on Mumbai, in his upcoming film in accordance with the similar incident. Delhi boy Sanjay Jaiswal is playing the much controversial character.

Casting call

Qasab's casting was probably the most crucial aspect of the film. Ramu informs, "Qasab was the face of all of the episode.

No body knows the faces of the opposite terrorists. He became the centre of attention in relation to being the only surviving terrorist.

And the truth that it's a particularly realistic portrayal of Kasab, I WISHED my actor to seem similar to the real person."

Ramu had a difficult time finding his Kasab. Divulging at the challenges he faced, the filmmaker says, "Kasab was near to 21 years old back then.

So to search out a man of his age, who matches Kasab's height and has an identical face and may be an excellent actor is a tall order."

However, Ramu was got lucky. "Casting for an ordinary film where you want an actor to suit a profile is different from sending out a word that you're looking for a man who seems like Kasab. That's how I DISCOVERED my Kasab."

Shocking effect

The director adds, "When he walked into the room I USED TO BE dazed. I USED TO BE further shocked to peer the variety of his performance throughout the audition.

You wouldn't expect a man of that age, in an effort to understand and essay such a fancy character as Kasab.

He has got an overly strong command over the language and from the time we zeroed upon him, he learnt to talk Urdu.

By the time he came to fulfill me, he was fully prepared and doubtless knew more about Kasab than me."

The film's shoot starts from today. Consistent with Ramu, the primary scene to be shot is around Kasab entering Mumbai.

Producer Parag Sanghvi adds, "Since it is a very sensitive matter and we're shooting within the sea, we took permissions from the Navy, the Bombay Port Trust and in addition the Customs and the Police."

Who is Sanjeev Jaiswal?

Sanjeev Jaiswal hails from Jamshedpur. After spending many years doing theatre in Delhi, he's a currently doing a small role in a TV show.

When asked if he's worried about being typecast within the industry after playing the notorious terrorist, he says, "I'M nobody so why will I worry in regards to the image?

In fact I'M thrilled to be working with a director like Ramu in any such big banner film. I'VE got this role after struggling for four years."

Speaking about prepping up for the role, Sanjeev says, "I'VE read a lot about Kasab and that i also lost weight to seem like him."
