Reacting to the tale ‘Rocking or shocking’ producer Siddharth Jain have been stunned by Abhay Deol’s allegations against him. The actor who features in his zombie film which has run into trouble, alleged that Siddharth is simply responsible for the mess the project is in.
Here’s Siddharth’s version…
I am currently heading to Fiji for a film, so wish I'LL do that face-to- face. But I ACTUALLY wish that Abhay would speak to me directly and never in the course of the press.
All I WILL say is that he should check facts directly, form an even opinion after which react publicly. To not go on hearsay and get emotional about friendships.
There were 200 people at the set and everybody knows what happened. Balaji was extremely reasonable in desirous to make the film in a definite budget. I had sold the film to them. If I USED TO BE the problem, then the film would have still been completed without me.
Clearly IT'S NOT THAT I AM the reason for the delay. It’s my script and to this point 45 minutes of the 90 minutes film was shot. We made Ragini MMS, so we all know budgets. High concept films can't be made lavishly and everybody has to cooperate to work in a definite way, which means, thinking outside the box.
We have a slate of six films which we can start shooting within the coming months with film budgets starting from Rs 5 to 50 crore. We take care of high concept, commercial, youth films. Nobody would fund us, if we didn’t know what we were doing. As Tanuj Garg from Balaji rightly says we have to be cost conscious and make the film within the right budget.
