Aamir’s ‘Talaash’ has no similarities with Vidya’s ‘Kahaani’

Aamir`s `Talaash` has no similarities with Vidya`s `Kahaani`Writer-director Reema Kagti has quashed reports that the discharge of her Aamir Khan starrer 'Talaash' have been postponed since the film bears similarities with 'Kahaani'.

"I am rather surprised about these rumours.

We have moved the discharge of the film to November because we didn't wish it to clash with Aamir's TV show but some chose to construct their very own stories. I'VE heard so much about 'Kahaani'. Sujoy Ghosh is a great friend and i'm sure it'd be fantastic. But there's nothing that may be similar in regards to the two films," Kagti.

'Kahaani', starring Vidya Balan, is a thriller and the trailers of 'Talaash' also indicate that the film belongs to the similar genre but Kagti believes that comparing the 2 films is just too much.

She believes that the rumours started making the rounds after 'Talaash' release was postponed soon after the discharge of 'Kahaani'.

"Let 'Talaash' release and the film will speak for itself. People will realise all alone that there's no similarity whatsoever."

The film, a co-production of Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, was in news ever because it was announced around two years back.

With Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji joining the cast, the film became all of the more special. There's lot of curiosity about 'Talaash' as it is releasing almost three years after Aamir's '3 Idiots'.
