'I am thankful to Anurag', says Neetu Chandra on clinching her first international project after the filmmaker recommended her name for it
Neetu Chandra being cast in her first ever-international film is seemingly all way to Anurag Kashyap.
It was the filmmaker who recommended her name to Greek director Kyriakos Tofaridis (producer of The Last Homecoming), who selected her over other Indian actresses including Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor.
Our source reveals, “Anurag met the director at a movie festival and so they get on well rather well. Kyriakos told him that he was on the lookout for an Indian beauty for his next bilingual venture to be made in Greek and English.
He asked Anurag to assist him find his actress. The filmmaker suggested Neetu’s name and organized a web-based meeting with the actress.
After a couple of conversations with Neetu and seeing a few of her work, the director decided to cast her. He found her looks very Indian and exotic.”
Neetu acknowledges Anurag’s help by saying, “Yes, it was Anurag who introduced me to Kyriakos. I'M looking ahead to shoot in Greece. I'M thankful to Anurag.”
