Sugandha Garg tells quirky stories on her travel show

Sugandha Garg tells quirky stories on her travel showActress Sugandha Garg, host of "It Happens Only in India", says that the travel show is exclusive because it took her to lesser known places within the country where she stumbled upon quirky stories.

Usually travel shows take you on exotic locales, luxury hotels and cruise parties, however it" Happens Only in India" is different. The 13 episode series, which fits on air on Fox Traveller Sunday, will take viewers to places like Bundi in Rajasthan, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, Jamnagar in Gujarat and Bidar in Karnataka.

Talking in regards to the show, Sugandha, known for her roles in films like "Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na" and "Tere Bin Laden", said: "After doing this show, I'M overwhelmed. The show takes the viewer on a ride as a traveller to places that one thought never existed."

"There is not any way India can also be canvassed in a single show, but we tried to turn somewhat of the lot. We've stories from the hidden interior parts like - coffee processed from the droppings of a civet cat; ulta 'Ramayana' and 'Bhagvad Gita', which are read only with a mirror; street dentists who practice at the footpath and more," she told.

Married to Rahgu Ram, the person behind MTV's popular show "Roadies", she is an avid traveller.

"I love travelling and that i can travel anytime I'M asked to. I'M a bagpack person and hate travelling by air. My journey needs to be by road. Traveling makes us a greater person because one gets to peer the sector around," said the chirpy and tomboy actress.

Right now she is planning a visit to Ladakh with husband Raghu.
