Karisma Kapoor, who may be seen at the big screen after six years, is pulling out all of the stops for a smooth sail. The actress, who's superstitious, considers a sea-front club in Bandra (where she hangs out) a lucky place for her.
All her film-related matters are discussed by the film’s director Vikram Bhatt on the exact same club. Even if where was undergoing repairs, the actress would insist that anything to do with the film needed to be told to her there. On some occasions there could be no provision for correct amenities because of the renovations but Lolo would still visit the club.
Says Bhatt, “The place was under repairs and on many occasions there could be nothing to eat and drink. But at Karisma’s insistence over glasses of water, we'd discuss the film related stuff.”
He adds, “Anyone would have avoided the place, but she would sit there for hours. She would just forget the encompassing area.”
Incidentally, even if the superstitious Lolo began shooting for the film in September she had requested it's preponed as her first day of the shoot was in the course of the shraadh period — considered inauspicious by many.
In the revised schedule, Lolo had given her first shot before the shraadh began, after which continued filming as scheduled during that period.
