Earlier, Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore had said that her son would tie knot with Kareena on October 16 at Pataudi Palace in Pataudi village. However, in an exclusive chat, the 41-year-old actor said that the development was not immediately not far away as being reported.
"I haven't fixed a date for the marriage yet. It will be a year-end wedding," Saif, 41, said. When asked if the marriage may be solemnised as per Hindu rituals or a conventional nikaah, Saif said, "THIS CAN BE A very private thing... I DO NOT wish to discuss it".
Dismissing the excitement that the ceremony won't happen in India and the venue could also be shifted to London, Saif said, "THE MARRIAGE isn't happening in London for sure.
Rest all information about the marriage I CANNOT talk because it is our private matter. It's personal". Saifeena, because the celebrity pair is usually referred to, was dating for 5 years and are going strong.
Amid numerous speculations and theories at the timing in their marriage, the couple had gone on record saying they'd enter the wedlock initially of this year after the discharge of "Agent Vinod" but that did not happen.
Then came another report that they were getting hitched sometime between March-April, however, the precise date continued to be elusive. Later in June, Sharmila confirmed that the marriage was going down on October 16.
