"This is inaccurate because the major a part of the revenue we get is from the satellite channels. Obviously the producers will lose some huge cash. Moreover, we cannot make the entire movies with U/A or U certificate, " Bhandarkar told reporters here Tuesday.
He said that the Film & Television Producers Guild of India is already engaged on the modalities. "I'M sure will probably be resolved very soon."
The filmmaker was here to advertise his upcoming film "Heroine" with its lead actress Kareena Kapoor. The film, releasing Sep 21, delves into the behind-the-scenes lifetime of an actress within the Indian film industry. It also features Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda.
Kareena has also raised objection to the censor board decision.
"It's wrong because I BELIEVE that each film is a special roughly film. We make different genres of films, with different directors. Producers invest because they feel that the film has something, " said Kareena.
"For me there may be nothing like an A or U/A film certificate. You turn to other channels like Star World and Star Movies and so they have wild scenes too, " she added.
