First look of Vijay Raaz directorial debut to be held at Wagah border
Bollywood films often choose attractive locations to launch their first look

But the team of producer Karan Arora's upcoming film is ready to do what hasn't ever been done.

They have planned to kickstart their project's promotional campaign on the Wagah border and that too at the night of August 14 when Pakistan can be celebrating their Independence Day. The development is slated to continue till late midnight when it will likely be India's turn to celebrate her Independence Day.

To add to the festive mood, the spot is thought of as ideal because the film's plot revolves across the bond between an Indian and a Pakistani soldier stationed on the Indo-Pak border. Veteran lyricist and filmmaker Gulzar is mentoring the project. And the film stars actor-turned- director Vijay Raaz alongside Manu Rishi, who also penned the film's dialogues.

Vijay remains grateful that Gulzar is a part of the team. He says, `This is the type of film that needs support because it doesn't boast of any famous person aside from Gulzar saab who's the one the reason is, the film got made. We have to push the envelope here. The entircould be veryis very excited and searching forward to the development at Wagah.`

Karan adds, `It is among the only a few anti-war films made in mainstream Hindi cinema. Because it talks about peace and friendship, we thought it would be nice to start out the promotions from Wagah at the night of August 14 when people from each side could be present.`

The event can even see Sukhwinder Singh and Shafqat Amanat Ali perform, as they're a part of the film too. The entire cast and crew may be present on the do.
