"We have planned to spend a large amount on advertisements. We're bringing on board a top Bollywood actress as our brand ambassador for the Silk range of emulsions. We will be able to also arrange for endorsement of our other brands, " managing director and chief executive officer Abhijit Roy told mediapersons here.
He said Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor or Katrina Kaif are the most popular choice. "WE'RE in talks and it may be either of the two, " said Roy, adding that the corporate will spend Rs.35 crore alone at the TV advertisement aside from the endorsement on other media.
Speaking at the occasion of 88th annual general meeting, Roy said the corporate was on the lookout for acquisitions both within and out of doors the country.
"In the overseas market, we're on the lookout for acquisition of technology. However, within the domestic market any acquisition move need to be driven by the opportunity of increasing market share, " he said.
