"All alone on Eid... on a skinny winding road. Nowhere and everywhere. Just gave myself a hug after a very long time. Will celebrate with happy winds," Shah Rukh tweeted Monday.
The 46-year-old desired to be along with his family in Mumbai to ring within the festival. But work commitments for the last schedule of his new film didn't allow him to travel home.
Shah Rukh, who reportedly plays a military man within the film, himself suggested that some portions need to be shot in Ladakh.
The movie, slated for a Nov 13 release, also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
