Bob Marley`s son is a fan of India and Bollywood, says it`s inspirational
Rohan Marley, son of legendary Jamaican musician Bob Marley, says he has always been serious about Indian music, especially with Bollywood tracks. He has formed a religious hook up with the rustic much before he landed here.

Bob Marley took reggae music to a brand new high and is credited with spreading Jamaican music internationally. Rohan admits he could never be drawn as just about music as his father, the music legend for a complete generation, was.

"I follow Indian music and i'm partial to Bollywood also. My father has an enormous fan base in Indian sub-continents and that is why why we're connected with the rustic since very long," Rohan Marley told during his visit.

"What I LIKE about Indian music is the sound and the instruments. It is rather soothing, spiritual and inspirational," he added.

Rohan was on a work trip to India, his maiden visit to the country, bringing the home of Marley audio products to the country.

He loved each piece of the trip and said: "The food and the essence of the folk is wonderful. India as an entire mobilises the colors of the universe."

"I like to walk around streets and notice the folks. It's intriguing to be in India because India is a non secular place. Physically that is my first visit, but spiritually (it's) not."

A former football player-turned-entrepreneur, Rohan, 40, feels India is a conducive marketplace for House of Marley audio products collection, which ranges from in-ear and on-ear headphones to portable speaker docks.

A student of sociology, Rohan was an avid sportsman, but says he never felt motivated to select music as his career.

"I always loved football and i've grown playing football and cricket. I never got the point of interest towards music. I USED TO BE never strings in instrument. I still remember the day after I was gifted my first guitar after I was 9 years old and that i just had no clue what to do, so I just put it down," he said.

"I love music. But I never considered having a career in music. My career revolves around representing House of Marley In India and abroad. My father has always been my idol. He's my hero and that i learned such a lot from him," he added.
