The road accident on Sunday night by a car allegedly owned by Arbaaz Khan and driven by Sohial Khan’s driver, which took an old woman’s life, has left the Khan family with a disturbing sense of déjà vu, and a deep sense of distress and indignation when no member of the Khan family was within the car when the accident occurred.
So says a discernibly distressed and upset Sohail Khan who claims media reports with the Khan name have deeply disturbed the family.
Says Sohail, “We don't seem to be an insensitive family. And it’s not an excellent feeling to be portrayed that way. The driving force was alone within the car. It was the driving force who caused the very unfortunate accident. He has taken the responsibility it. ”
Far from feeling relieved at being exonerated from guilt Sohail says the Khan family is deeply disturbed by the accident.
“We are shaken by the entire episode. Who wouldn’t be? Are we not human? To be called insensitive when only I DO KNOW the trauma that my family goes through ever for the reason that accident happened, could be very unfair. ”
Sohail says the accident was seen by several eyewitnesses. “They’ve told the police exactly what happened. The motive force was alone within the car. The poor lady lost her life. We're as troubled by this as any normal family would be.
Why are we being perceived as callous and indifferent? It's sad that this sort of tragic event has become another occasion to make us brothers appear to be reckless adventurers. . Our names are being used simply because our driver isn't a star. ”
Apparently the family is terribly interested in the plight of the motive force.
“It was an accident. A precious human life have been lost. A minimum of give us time to come back to terms with the enormity of the tragedy, ” says Sohail.
Sohail is specially upset with the way in which the Khan family’s role within the entire tragedy is being distorted.
Says Sohail, “Look at how our statements are minsterpreted. I said and that i meant that it was sad to look homeless people sleeping at the roads covering themselves with plastic sheets to forestall being drenched within the rain. Given this type of dangerous situation, if God Forbid, a car loses control it could possibly prove fatal. ”
Says Sohail, “We are sincerely involved in the placement. What happened cannot and must never happen to anyone. Let’s make the roads safer for the pedestrians and the drivers. ”
