Salman`s `free Sarabjit` initiative will help: Dalbir Kaur
Dalbir Kaur, sister of Sarabjit Singh, who's at the death row in Pakistan, is confident that Bollywood actor Salman Khan's initiative can assist within the release of her younger brother.

"I felt specialized after speaking to Salman Khan. Today we're having a press conference at Raza Murad's residence at 2 within the afternoon," Dalbir Kaur told.

"I came yesterday (Sunday) morning and met Salman Khan yesterday itself. I'M sure Salman's initiative may help in release of Sarabjit."

The 46-year-old star launched a web-based petition Friday for Sarabjit Singh, who have been on death row in Lahore jail since 1990.

Dalbir claims Salman could be very eager about the issue.

"I am so glad that Salman Khan has taken an initiative on Sarbajit's issue. Woh kafi gambhir hain iss masle ko lekar (Salman is very thinking about this issue). He's not just tweeting, but he's with us until Sarbajit is not released. It isn't that he's just tweeting and leaving the problem unsorted."

Sarabjit's family met External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna within the capital and was assured of all government efforts to procure his release from a Pakistani prison.

Salman posted a message on his Twitter page Friday, appealing to people of Pakistan and wrote: "Requesting the folks of Pakistan to support me to assist free Sarabjit who have been in prison since 30 yrs. Please..Allah ka vasta."

"It will be the most amazing gesture, to send Sarabjit back to his family after 30 years. Hope you support me like it is your own cause. B apart of one family`s happiness. Desired to tweet this for the longest time, saw a pic of Sarabjit's sister, it killed me. Felt really sad for her," Salman wrote.

"Help me, help her. It is a personal request to all of u in Pakistan to send Sarabjit back to his family in Punjab. Hope you locate it for your hearts to assist and to people from around the world. Thanks in your support. Am planning a web-based petition (sic)," Salman added.

On saturday, he started a web based petition urging people to sign it. He plans to provide it to the Pakistan government in a bid to free Sarabjit.
