The actor came to his co-star Asin's aid as she was about to be mobbed at a school festival

Trust Akshay Kumar to avoid wasting a damsel in distress! True to his Khiladi image, Akki apparently helped his co-star Asin get out of a slightly sticky situation.

Apparently when the actor accompanied by Asin visited a faculty festival to advertise their latest film Khiladi 786, the latter was almost mobbed by a crowd of young boys and girls.

A source informs, `The event was to celebrate the success of the film's music and that's the reason why a venue of an open ground was chosen. The entry was also open and free for everybody and because Akshay was pleased with the way the music of the film was received, he desired to celebrate it with the crowd.`

A crowd of virtually 4,000 boys and girls apparently thronged the venue. And an excessively big group of kids followed Asin backstage and the location got an excessive amount of to address. The source adds, `Asin was caught unaware and the mob came too close for her comfort.`

The bouncers there too were told to take a stock of the location. However, luckily Akshay sprung into action and came to Asin's aid.

The film's creative producer Rakesh Upadhyay says, `Akshay is often careful that neither the gang nor his co-actors have to be subjected to any roughly misbehaviour. He made sure that Asin was safe or even escorted her to her car.`

Don't call females a prop: Asin

I don't believe anybody is a prop (in a movie.) You wish to have a feminine protagonist and only she will be able to do the role. So it isn't particularly reasonable to name anybody a prop...
