For Amy Jackson, India is her new home

For Amy Jackson, India is her new homeBritish model Amy Jackson, who featured in "Ekk Deewana Tha" opposite Prateik, calls India her new home and says she loved travelling to different places while shooting for her debut film.

"I love India, it's my new home. I had an opportunity to travel rather a lot with the movie. We travelled to Madurai, Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), Agra, Delhi and Goa. That was fantastic," the 21-year-old said here on the UTV Bindaas show Dell Inspiron Road Diaries.

"My favourite place was Kerala. I TRULY think it's god's own country, it was beautiful. I MIGHT like to return there for a chillout and never for work and just benefit from the place," she added.

While Amy waits for more Bollywood projects to come back her way, she is exploring southern films too and can soon start work on a Telugu movie.

"I start my next movie in March and i'm choc-a-bloc until the tip of the year now with movies. My next is a Telugu movie opposite Ramcharan and it's called 'Yevadu'. Then I'VE a Tamil film immediately after after which hopefully, some Bollywood film by the tip of the year," said Amy who earlier did Tamil film "Madrasapattinam".

Amy is confident that similar to Hindi, her dedication can assist her pick up Telugu as well.

"I am very dedicated. Hindi was just as hard as Telugu because I had no idea of the language beforehand. I DO KNOW I MAY do a fair job with Hindi so I'M certain I'll do an even job with Telugu," she said.

Directed by Gautham Menon, "Ekk Deewana Tha" opened to mixed reviews last Friday. It tells the tale of a struggling boy stuck between his dream of turning into an assistant director and wooing the lady he loves.
