Karisma has a dream role in Dangerous Ishq: Vikram Bhatt

Karisma has a dream role in Dangerous Ishq: Vikram BhattWhile fans of Karisma Kapoor watch for her much hyped comeback vehicle 'Dangerous Ishq', director Vikram Bhatt adds directly to the spice by announcing that the film can be nothing lower than a dream outing for the actress.

The shooting of the film is thru and it's all set to compete on the Cannes Film festival. Promotional activities are prepared to kick-start with only some months remaining for it's theatrical release.

"The strength of 'Dangerous Ishq' is it's mindblowing idea. The part that she gets to play within the film is a dream role for any actor. Karisma too understood that once 'Dangerous Ishq' was narrated to her.

"She comes with enough experience to gauge a film's strength on the script level itself. Once she agreed in principle, we developed the film a little more and were able to roll," Bhatt told PTI.

However, 'Dangerous Ishq' wasn't originally designed as a comeback vehicle of Karisma. The film's script was written well prematurely without keeping any particular actress in mind.

Later it was just about a 'luck by chance' moment for both Vikram and the 37-year-old actress that the 2 ended up collaborating with each other.

"I think everything is simply about timing. Karisma was at that stage in her life where she had decided to do a movie. She was willing to offer Bollywood a shot and was on the lookout for the fitting script. This was the time after I and my team were sitting with the casting director and Karisma's name popped up," said Bhatt.

The director, who has films like 'Ghulam' and 'Raaz' to his credit, said he was initially apprehensive about casting Karisma within the lead.

"We were a bit of doubtful if she would do it but then the consensus was that she could be fabulous in doing a movie like 'Dangerous Ishq'. After we met, everything fell in place." Bhatt has had some misunderstandings and disagreements together with his erstwhile mentors Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt that ended in a fallout, however the team is together now with 'Raaz 3'.

"Working with Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt is like coming back to the home. We want one another well with regards to our films. If I NEED their 'Jannat 2' to do well, they too are rooting for my 'Dangerous Ishq'."

With Jimmy Sheirgill and Rajniesh Duggall within the lead at the side of Divya Dutta and Ruslaan Mumtaz, 'Dangerous Ishq' with music by Himesh Reshammiya is a co-production of Dar Motion Pictures, BVG Films and Reliance Entertainment and releases in all places on May 11.
