My item number’ll stand out despite Kareena’s mujra: Malika

My item number`ll stand out despite Kareena`s mujra: MalikaActress Lisa Haydon's sister Malika feels that her item number in Saif Ali Khan starrer "Agent Vinod" will stand out despite leading lady Kareena Kapoor's mujra.

Kareena, who's exploring the old genre of mujra with 'Dil Mera Muft Ka', that is choreographed by Saroj Khan, turned to veteran Rekha for inspiration. "I DON'T BELIEVE the song ('I'll do the talking') would get overshadowed by it (mujra)...

As both the songs are of various styles they create something different at the table," Malika said. The elder sibling of Lisa, who has featured in a soft drink commercial with cricketing legends Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar, is making her Bollywood debut with the song.

With the thing song making quite a rage, the makers of 'Agent Vinod' have roped in Malika for one more special number titled 'Pyaar Ki Pungi', crooned by Mika featuring Malika and Saif.

Malika, who's quite elated with the response generated by her song, says the object number is boisterous and stands proud from the gang of new Bollywood numbers.

"It isn't like the opposite usual item songs. It's different from Sheila's, Chikni Chameli's and all. It isn't like that in any respect. It's clubby, bouncy...feel good roughly a song (sic)," she said. Mailka said 'Pyar ki Pungi' takes the tale forward whereas 'I'll do the talking' is solely a promotional song.

When asked whether she was comfortable doing the object song, Malika says dancing has always been her passion. "It was pretty simple for me as I'VE BEEN dancing since I USED TO BE a child. Dance is something I'VE BEEN excited by so it was easy for me," she said.

The spy thriller directed by Sriram Raghavan could be released in 3,500 screens globally including 2,500 in India on March 23.
