Fast approaching his 60th birthday, in September, Rishi Kapoor is ready to pen his autobiography. And buzz is that three leading publishing houses are all vying to clinch the rights to this book.
Apparently the actor has kind of already zeroed at the publisher he desires to sign, and all that should be done is to choose an author who would write his story for him.
Says Rishi, "Arrey yaar, mujhe likhna to aata nahin (I DO NOT understand how to put in writing.) I kind of know who I NEED to assist me write my story. It has got to be someone who knows me and my work really well."
Rishi also wants this author to stick with him for a while. "I WOULD LIKE the author to tail me for no less than three months, so he'd get to grasp exactly how I live, how I interact with family and friends. I'm very clear that I won't lie while telling my story," says Rishi.
Ask him in regards to the decision behind writing his life story and he says, "It's something I HAVE BEEN asked to do for some years now. But never got around to doing. Now that i'm nearly 60, I FEEL it's about time."
One wonders if this book will be capable of ruffle feathers within the industry.
