Bollywood should look for stories in books: John Abraham

Bollywood should look for stories in books: John AbrahamActor John Abraham feels that in place of getting inspired by Hollywood films, Bollywood filmmakers should start adapting stories from books.

"Most of the time, in our industry we get numerous inspiration from other films, especially English films. But I BELIEVE the most productive inspiration you will get is out of books," the 39-year-old said here on the launch of the book "In A Bubble of Time."

"Even English films that experience done well, got their inspiration out of books. So I FEEL it's a must to read and get new ideas and that i think that may be where we're limiting ourselves," he added.

If John was to make a movie in keeping with a book, which one would that be?

"I has been an excellent fan of 20th century fiction and that i love Jeffry Archer. So, I'VE read all his books and if I NEED TO make a Hindi picture I'D definitely make it on a Jeffrey Archer book," he said.

The actor had featured within the film "7 Khoon Maaf" which was according to Ruskin Bond's short story "Susanna's Seven Husbands".

John is currently gearing up for his next release "Housefull 2", scheduled to hit theatres April 5.
