`Bigg Boss` to be made into film, as horror comedy
Popular reality show "Bigg Boss" is now headed for the large screen -- as a horror comedy!

Endemol India, producers of "Bigg Boss", together with Select Media Holdings Pvt. Ltd's film production arm, Moving Pictures, will jointly produce the horror comedy, in line with the experiences of the folk within the "Bigg Boss" house. The movie will go at the floors next year.

"The success of 'Bigg Boss' has achieved epic proportions, where we've seen that it has become part of people's daily lives. One of the crucial biggest advantages is its ability to chop across people of all age groups. We're certain that we'll be capable to replicate the success and recreate the unpredictability of this format at the silver screen as well," Deepak Dhar, CEO, Endemol India, said in a statement.

Nitin Tej Ahuja, director, Select Media Holdings Pvt Ltd, feels "Bigg Boss" has an ideal cinematic potential.

" 'Bigg Boss' is likely one of the most well liked entertainment properties in India, and therefore a really perfect fit for us as a production house enthusiastic about quality commercial cinema," said Ahuja.

"As an idea and a format, 'Bigg Boss' inherently has a marvelous cinematic potential and we're looking ahead to working with Endemol India in bringing this very exciting property to the large screen," he added.

The cast of the film is being finalised and the makers have approached one of the crucial contestants from the former seasons of the truth show.
