Aditya Chopra turns 41
Filmmaker Aditya Chopra turned 41 on Monday. Aditya, born on May 21, 1971, is the elder son of veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra.

Aditya’s film career kicked off on the age of 18 as an assistant director to Chopra within the films ‘Chandni’ (1989), ‘Lamhe’ (1991) and ‘Darr’ (1993).

He gained fame on the age of 23 for steering and writing the 1995 blockbuster hit movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLG).

Apart from DDLG he's known for steering films like Mohabbatein (2000), and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).

As a producer he made films like Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zaara, Chak De! India, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.

And as a writer, he showed his creativity in films like New York, Bunty Aur Babli and Mohabbatein.

Aditya tied knot together with his highschool girlfriend Payal Khanna but later the couple filed for divorce in April 2009.

He is alleged to be romantically involved with actor Rani Mukherji.
