Generally, actors are known to follow their director’s instructions. The preferred notion was circled recently, when Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Deol gave orders to their forthcoming film’s director, Dibaker Bannerjee, to march back home. Reason being that they didn’t want him to holiday while they’re promoting the film.
A well-placed source tells us that the director, who’s known to be laidback on the subject of pre-release publicity, took off on a holiday to the Himalayas.
“Usually, Dibaker takes day without work for a family holiday and disconnects himself from the industry. This time, he went on a sudden holiday around May 20 and was scheduled to go back by June 3. No person from his cast and crew were conscious about his plans, ” says our informer.
Meanwhile, Emraan and Abhay started their interview rounds, oblivious about Dibaker’s vacation. As our source reveals, “It was only recently that they learnt that their director has gone on a holiday.
Naturally, they were a tad upset about his sudden disappearance from the scene. More so because the last two weeks’ promotion before the discharge determines the type of opening the film will register on the box office. So that they decided to summon him back to.”
Needless to say, the director had no option but to conform together with his actors’ demands. “Dibaker is returning to Mumbai on Wednesday (May 30) and can get entangled within the promotional activities from the next morning, ” sums up our source.
