Shahid Kapoor skips family vacation to wait promotional events for his upcoming film that still stars former sweetheart

Shahid Kapoor has to forego a vacation along with his family because of his film commitment. The actor was slated to enroll in his father Pankaj Kapur within the US, as he was keen to spend a while along with his individuals who are on a summer vacation there. Pankaj together with wife Supriya Pathak and their children Sana and Ruhaan left a few days ago for brand new York.
Says a source, “Shahid was planning to be with them in Big apple for over every week. As they'd planned an extended trip, he was to sign up for them at a later date.” But now he has realised that he can't be with them as his presence is needed in Mumbai for Kunal Kohli’s film, which also stars his ex flame Priyanka Chopra.
The star was apparently keen to be together with his kin as his last two holidays were along with his gang of friends. In October last year, Sasha had taken off for Spain with a number of pals for a backpacking and a celebration hard vacation.
In February this year he had a week-long birthday party in Goa together with his buddies which had included Nargis Fakhri resulting in speculation concerning the two.
Adds the source, “This is the rationale he was keen to spend time together with his family. He's extremely keen on Sana and Ruhaan and had decided to be with them in Ny before he gets busy with the promotions of his film that's slated for a June release.”
As the primary look launch of the film was out last month and with the promos on air, Shahid’s presence is needed on the music related events being chalked out for the film. The source further adds, “As his co-star Priyanka Chopra is away within the US pursuing her music ambitions, nowadays Shahid should be present on the promotional events being held at music stations.”
