Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia can have to skip buddy Karan Johar’s 40th celebration celebrations. The mega bash to herald the filmmaker’s birthday (May 25) is being held at a suburban hotel.
The couple is walking the red carpet on the Cannes Film Festival. They need to be within the city at the French Riviera on May 25. Moreover, the star is shooting at Pachmarhi and Bhopal for a movie and is slated to be back in Mumbai just in time to depart for Cannes.
Says Rampal, “Yes, it will likely be a decent schedule for me. But then work is figure. I'LL BE arriving in Mumbai only a day before we leave for Cannes. If time proves a constraint, I WILL BE ABLE TO drop in to fulfill Karan, wish him after which leave. If things permit I'LL be there for a brief while.”
Arjun, who represents a liquor brand, can be attending the festival at their behalf. Wife Mehr will accompany him on the red carpet. “I was to the Cannes film festival before but that is the primary time I'M walking the red carpet, ” adds Arjun.
Costume drama In Cannes, Arjun Rampal might be seen in a princely outfit designed by friend Rohit Bal. Mehr may be seen in a Tarun Tahiliani outfit. “Mehr is an old-time Tarun loyalist so she can’t call to mind wearing anything else, ” says Arjun.
