Anurag Kashyap have been very candid prior to now about being extremely ruthless while shortlisting actors to add in his films.
So when the filmmaker asked his Man Friday of several years, Murari Kumar to join three films under his banner headed to Cannes this year, naturally he was ecstatic.
And now we learn that Murari has also been asked to accompany Anurag to the yearly film festival, attended by the who’s who of the film industry.
Murari says, “Yes I’m a part of all of the three films headed to Cannes. In fact, in Vasant Bala’s film, I play crucial role.” However, since his passport isn't so as currently, he's still hoping he could make it to the French town with Anurag.
He points out, “Yes I'LL BE going to Cannes for the festival, but at this time my passport is stuck and I’m sorting things out here (he is currently in Patna) at the moment. I’m hoping to get it by today. Anurag sir has assured me that when I AM GETTING my passport he'll try and get me my visa. The screening of the film is on May 21.”
While Kalki can’t…
Anurag’s wife Kalki, however, won't be in Cannes this year as she is busy shooting for her next with Emraan Hashmi. She was begging for a couple of days off from work but director Kannan Iyer is adamant on not letting her go.
