`Ishaqzaade` well-received, Arjun overwhelmed
Arjun Kapoor, son of producer Boney Kapoor, is worked up with the performance of his debut film "Ishqzaade" and says it's overwhelming to look that the movie goes strong even after the weekend.

Made at the cheap of Rs.14.5 crore, including print and publicity, the film has up to now garnered Rs.23.66 crore. Starring Arjun and Parineeti Chopra, it had hit the screens May 11. Its first day collection was Rs.4.54 crore, and on Monday the film collected Rs.2.77 crore.

"I was telling Parineeti that even though the film gets an excellent opening, its fate is set on Monday. Tuesday morning once I got Monday's collection, I felt really great," Arjun Kapoor told.

"Monday is a dead day... if early (Monday) morning youth are going for the film that implies they have got caught directly to the film. The Monday collections were genuinely good. It showed only 36 percent fall. It was Rs.2.77 crore on Monday and Rs.2.64 crore on Tuesday so that is the sign that folks are watching the film," he added.

Besides the impressive box office numbers, Arjun is overwhelmed by the positive response to the film. Both the critics and the audiences have given "Ishaqzaade", directed by Habib Faisal, a thumbs up.

"I am a producer's son, so I understand numbers but that does not mean that only numbers matter... We've got an excessively positive feedback," the 26-year-old said.
