I am not `getting into anyone`s shoes` for `Heroine`: Kareena
Kareena Kapoor says she isn't looking to copy anyone in her forthcoming film "Heroine", the primary trailer of which has raised inevitable comparisons with Vidya Balan's look within the" Dirty Picture".

In some way both films hit on the same subject - the fate, rise and fall of an actress. While Vidya scored a blockbuster with "The Dirty Picture", Kareena and "Heroine" director Madhur Bhandarkar insist no comparisons need to be made.

"I am not coming into anybody's shoes. I'M very comfortable in my very own and that i would say that no person gets into mine either," Kareena said on the trailer launch held here Wednesday evening.

She also said that "Heroine" has nothing very similar to "The Dirty Picture", and that it's "unfair" to check the two.

Pointing out the variation between the 2 films, Bhandarkar said: "I liked 'The Dirty Picture'. The film was in regards to the rise of an item girl within the 1980s. Our film is more modern in its approach. The 2 films are very different and also you cannot compare them."

"There was such a lot of films in line with underworld. Also such a lot of cop films have come like 'Singham' and 'Dabangg', but no person compares them. Then why are people comparing these two films," he added.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, "Heroine", releasing Sep 21, also features Arjun Rampal.
