Kareena isn't doing `Chennai Express` with SRK

Kareena is not doing `Chennai Express` with SRK
Director Rohit Shetty has quashed rumours of Kareena Kapoor being cast opposite Shahrukh Khan in his next project 'Chennai Express' and says that the leading lady might be finalised soon

"I haven't really (approached Kareena Kapoor), she knows what I'M making. I'D do something else with Kareena, " Shetty told in an interview.

Grapevine is abuzz that Deepika Padukone is probably going to add opposite King Khan within the film. "Just stay up for ten days after which everyone will come to understand who it's. In ten days time, we can announce our heroine, " he said.

Interestingly for Shetty, 'Chennai Express' is the primary film where he'll be working without his close buddy Ajay Devgn. In all of the eight films that Shetty has directed till date, Ajay was a typical factor and the director says CE, need to be taken as an exception.

"There is not any fight, there is not any negativity happening between us. We're working together for 'Singham 2'. I DON'T BELIEVE people should question the bond we share, " Shetty said.

Ask him if there's any scope where he will have Ajay Devgn doing a cameo within the film, the 39-year-old director says, "NOT LIKELY because the script is nearly ready. In two months we can start shooting." 'Chennai Express' will go on floors from the tip of September and release would happen mid-next year.

The film may be a complete commercial - "Rohit Shetty style", where one would get to look his signature style like cars blowing up. "I do all those things (blowing up cars and fascinated with) kids as they enjoy it. It became an indicator for all films. All this will likely happen in 'Chennai Express' as well...but not blowing up the trains, " he chuckled.

'Chennai Express' is a narrative a couple of man who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens throughout the journey, is what the film is about.

"It isn't totally a train journey film, it's something else besides and there's a for the reason that the name of the film is 'Chennai Express'. Like only 15-20 minutes of the film is within the train, it isn't like where the entire film is going on within the train. I CANNOT talk much concerning the film because it is just too early, " Shetty said.

Meanwhile, Shetty is excited with the response to his last release, 'Bol Bachchan', a romantic-comedy inspired by 1979 film 'Golmaal'. "We weren't making frame-to-frame copy of 'Golmaal'.

When you spot 'Bol Bachchan' one can't compare it frame-by-frame with that film. There has been a this is why we took the rights (of 'Golmaal') as there may be Golmaal happening inside 'Bol Bachchan'. The fundamental idea came from Golmaal but we now have made it into our own film, " Shetty said.

"Critics I USED TO BE dead sure they'd give one or two stars and the film will do well on the box office. I DO NOT read reviews. All I knew we now have made a fair film and we were sure people will love it. I made a movie to entertain audience and what's wrong in making people happy, " he said.
