Ram Gopal Varma ropes in owner of the cafe in Colaba to play a job in his film in line with the Mumbai terror attacks

Ram Gopal Varma will finally start shooting for his film 26/11 from Monday and he's leaving no stone unturned to make the film look as authentic as he can. The film in accordance with the tragic incident of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai now could have the landlord of Leopold Café Farzad Jehani playing one of the most key roles within the film.

It may also be recalled that the attacks started from his café itself and he was one of the vital prime witnesses to the horrifying incident that killed and injured many.

Ram Gopal Varma says, “Everybody knows what happened at Leopold but if you hear it within the context of an eye fixed witness, all your perspective changes. Within the context of the phobia act on the cafe, who is usually a better witness than Farzad who owns where and who was there that night.”

Farzad says, “Yes, I agreed to play the part as I strongly believe within the way Ram Gopal Varma is visualising the entire thing. I'VE lived through those terrifying moments and who can justify that than me.

Everyone knows what happened here and he desired to show that through my eyes. Because it is my place and my customer and staff who got killed or injured, he felt that I should get to play the role.”
