Almost twenty years after actress Divya Bharti’s death under mysterious circumstances, buzz is that a biopic is being made on her life. And while filmmaker Vikram Sandhu plays safe by addressing the film as a fictional account, the tale has a resemblance to the actress’ life.
Actor Vije Bhatia was signed directly to play an upcoming producer, in keeping with producer Sajid Nadiadwala who was married to Divya on the time of her death, for the film.
Originally from New Delhi, Vije has acted in a couple of TV shows. He says, “My character within the film is that of a struggling producer who falls in love with a brand new actress. They get married and shortly his wife accidentally meets her end.
Everyone blames him for her death.” Divya Bharti too had fallen to her death from the couple’s high-rise apartment. Our sources let us know that Vikram is currently holding auditions seeking to cast an actress who seems like Divya. Vije says he too was approached for the film, as he looks similar to Sajid.
