Items numbers should be situational, says Shabana
Actress Shabana Azmi Friday said she doesn't have an issue with item numbers but they need to be situational.

"I have far less problem with women doing item numbers than them falling on men's feet. Item numbers will continue to happen.

It is a part of what women do and what they're. If it is required at the situation or not that matters, " she said during the discharge of book "Mother, Maiden, Mistress" written by Bhawana Somaya, Supriya Madangarli and Jigna Kothari.

"For example, 'Bidi Jala Le' of 'Omkara' was fantastically written. It will not be like they're surrendering to a male, " said Shabana.

Actress Parineeti Chopra, who was also there, said: "Item song 'Jalla Walah' in 'Ishqzaade' which had two girls who're dancing in front of guys was not done to titillate men. IT'S NOT THAT I AM saying item numbers should b eradicated...I hope in next 5 years, we do not get to see any longer songs like this."
