Rohan Sippy is ready to start out the production of his next film, a comedy, in July. The yet untitled film co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunal Roy Kapoor. Abhishek Bachchan can be seen in a cameo. This will likely even be the primary time that Bhushan Kumar and Ramesh Sippy join hands to co-produce a film.
As reported ‘Next move’ (Hitlist, May 31) Rohan took on Ayushmann after seeing his performance in Vicky Donor. At the other hand, Rohan had worked with Kunal Roy Kapoor as he directed a movie for him earlier.
Says Rohan, “I realised that Kunal has great potential as an actor and that’s why we got him on board in addition. Ayushmann and Kunal are new age actors who've a undeniable connect to today’s audience.”
He further adds, “We have done many films with Bhushan Kumar and he's an especially passionate producer. It's amazing to look the type of clout he enjoys within the industry, but despite that, he has the fervour to make those sorts of films that he believes in.”
Speaking about Abhishek’s cameo Rohan says, “He is my goodluck charm and he's doing a cameo. We're looking to shoot before he starts shooting for his upcoming action flick.”
Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar stresses that he has always desired to work with individuals who have an even sense of music and Rohan Sippy is definitely one in all them. Bhushan says, “Rohan is one director who has a perfect sense of music. The experience of engaged on Dum Maro Dum with him was great. Or even now, he has given me numerous freedom to become involved within the music of this film.”
