`Audience wants entertainment, not education`
He acts, directs and produces, and Ajay Devgn's experience tells him that the base line of any film's box office success depends on entertainment consider its script. Citing the instance of Prakash Jha, he says that the director has the abilities to show realistic ideas into engaging and entertaining movies.

"If the audience spends money on a movie, they would like to get entertained. They do not wish to get educated. Entertainment may also be comedy or action. That is the ground line," Ajay, whose "Singham" crossed Rs.100 crore mark, told.

"If your film has done a Rs.100 crore business, people have seen it. You cannot make a fool of the audience. Regardless of the audiences like, you'll have to give them," he added.

The 43-year-old had a fantastic luck with Rohit Shetty directed comedies - "Golmaal: Fun Unlimited" and "Golmaal Returns", and his next, "Bol Bachchan" too is from the similar director and same genre.

Variety in roles is what Ajay appears to be that specialize in. In conjunction with comedies, he managed intense roles with no trouble by getting into the shoes of a don within the gangster drama "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai" and playing a Dalit in political thriller "Raajneeti". Both the movies did well on the box office.

After having worked with director Prakash Jha in "Raajneeti" and "GangaaJal", Ajay has teamed up with him again for "Satyagraha" and praises the director's expertise in handling subject of his films well.

"Prakash Jha picks up a sensible idea and makes it very engaging and entertaining. There are other filmmakers who pick up ideas, but make it very boring."

"I am doing a movie with him (Jha) called 'Satyagraha', it is very entertaining. It is not like I CANNOT do such (serious) films, but it surely needs to be entertaining, they can not be a documentary," he said.

"Satyagraha" is alleged to be in line with social activist Anna Hazare's campaign.

Ajay Jha will even start engaged on a sequel to "GangaaJal" after finishing "Satyagraha".
