Even celebs must pay the fee for popularity. After all, when a track from Ekta Kapoor’s forthcoming film went viral at the Internet, the entire world, err almost, decided to congratulate her on it. Unfortunately, it resulted in her mobile phone crashing, way to an excessive amount of of data.
Ekta says, “To be frank, I wasn’t expecting such a terrific feedback. It was only after receiving endless messages — not just from friends but in addition from fans — that I realised the level of attention it has managed to grab.”
The constant run of responses eventually led to the crashing of the television-film producer’s mobile phone. But as expected, she isn’t complaining, “It’s OK. I’ll get a brand new one.”
Women on top Last year, Ekta was waiting for the Vidya Balan-starrer The Dirty Picture. This year on being asked whether she has another film within the pipeline with strong female characters, the 37-year-old replied within the affirmative.
“I’m fascinated about women-centric projects. It is going to take time but something within the same vein will happen and you’ll know,” Ekta assures.
Wedding woes? It’s difficult to finish an interaction with Ekta Kapoor without prodding her about her marriage plans, if in any respect. She’s admittedly uninterested in the question — to the purpose that these days she just laughs it away.
“Even my mother asks me the similar question! Anyway, I’m way too busy with work to think about the rest as of now,” Ekta signs off.
