Vanya Mishra: Bollywood only after the Miss World title

Vanya Mishra: Bollywood only after the Miss World title
Himangini Singh Yadu has broken India's 12-year-long dry spell by winning the Miss Asia Pacific title. Vanya Mishra says it is a proud moment for the rustic and she or he hopes to duplicate the feat by triumphing on the Miss World pageant in China.

"Every win at a world pageant is a proud moment for India. At the moment I'm just focussed on my Miss World title and that i hope I win millions of heart with the win," Vanya, winner of the Pantaloons Femina Miss India world 2012, told while speaking on Himangini's win.

The Chandigarh girl, an engineering graduate, is correct now targeting the Aug 18 contest in China.

"I am prepared for D-day. The preparation goes in full swing. You might be groomed from head to toe to compete with other representatives from different countries. I'm definitely going to place my best foot forward," she said.

The beauty queen, whose interest lies in badminton, music, dance and books, said the grooming sessions needed a large number of labor and it's difficult for a lady of her age to get into that mode.

"Well, definitely it's difficult for a lady of my age to get into the mode of 13 days of strenuous grooming session. I'M an engineering student, I WILL easily bunk my classes, but I USED TO BE not allowed to bunk grooming sessions. It was difficult, but I'M satisfied with the result. It helped in exploring hidden beauty," she added.

In 2000, Priyanka Chopra won the Miss world title and after 12 years another international crown has come home. SO MUCH was written concerning the continuous disappointments at the global stage.

Vanya said: "People get very judgmental sitting at home. It is very easy to mention that the lady didn't perform well at the stage. For me, it is all about timings as being on stage and competing with such a lot of girls takes so much of courage."

The 19-year-old further added: "Losing does not imply that previous Miss India winners weren't beautiful, but then on the end of the day there can just be one winner and everyone else could be left behind."

There are many beauty queens who entered Bollywood, but Vanya feels that a platform like a beauty pageant opens other avenues.

"Yes, it open doors as it is a type of platform that may be seen by the arena but I'D definitely say that beauty pageants aren't just meant for purchasing into Bollywood. The idea that of beauty queen is entirely different as the winner represents a rustic that may be seen by many during a global pageant," she said.

Any plans to go into Bollywood?

"I love glamour, but I HAVE NEVER given thought to entering Bollywood as of now. I USED TO BE just the coed after which I became Miss India, so it's too early for me to devise future. I just expect and hope to win the international crown. My main focus is international pageant," she said.
