Mega star Amitabh Bachchan, who have been related to the federal government polio eradication campaign, has said that his
granddaughter was given polio drops Tuesday in his presence.
"Day before yesterday (Tuesday), my little granddaughter was given polio drops in my presence, " Amitabh Bachchan said here Thursday on being felicitated for his contribution to the polio eradication campaign.
The campaign has successfully managed to eradicated polio across India for just about 15 months now.
Bachchan said: "We must make sure that there have to be no reason behind polio for no less than three consecutive years. We now have just crossed one year and there's still some distance to go."
He further added: "As a parent, I WILL only ask you, request you and get angry on you to continue this very noble cause."
