Shooting for her new film across small towns in India has sparked off the actress' keen interest in political developments within the country
Parineeti Chopra is talking politics. No, not the overall pow wow that runs rampant within the industry.
According to insiders related to her forthcoming movie, the young actress often talks concerning the dynamics of day-to-day political developments within the country. Surprisingly, her newfound interest is attributed to shooting for her film within the small towns in central India.
Not surprisingly, when she started shooting for her film, Parineeti had little interest in politics and didn’t follow it beyond regular headlines.
However, being constantly around people who find themselves not just politically aware but additionally have their very own analysis and opinions at the subject, in cities like Bardoi, Barabanki and Lucknow, changed all that.
As our source explains, “There were no fancy places to hang around when shooting in such locations. So the places they hung around were frequented by locals who’d often discuss the daily political developments.
And with the then upcoming elections and the face-off between Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, the surroundings was very heavy with the topic. That’s how Parineeti took an interest in politics. And soon, she was also discussing updates with the local youth.”
Our source further adds, “During elections, Parineeti would follow the exit polls and discuss the developments together with her friends and family. She would it's because something was good and the way something would affect people in general.” The actress is currently said to be preoccupied discussing international politics vis-à-vis the BRICS summit.
