Buzz is that director Anand Rai has chosen to work on his current film with Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor for the timebeing, and now won't have an excessive amount of time to be aware of the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu.

Especially because, the announcement of the film apparently has come a little bit too sooner than he expected. than direct the sequel.

Says a source, "Rai was contemplating the sequel some time back, but then the Dhanush film came along. The announcement of the sequel came similtaneously well. So in this day and age he'll be engaged on Ranjhna."

Apparently, the director used to be even contemplating giving up the sequel all together to be aware of newer projects.

Adds the source, "The sequel was just an concept and Rai was toying with many other projects on the time. So he didn't wish to repeat himself, by directing a sequel immediately.

At the moment, he gets the time to space things out." However, Rai says that the script may be very as regards to his heart and he's still very much on board for the film.

He clarifies, "I LIKE Tanu weds Manu and the brand new script is brilliant. It takes the tale to a different level. The announcement of the sequel came along a bit earlier than it is going to have.

We weren't really prepared and now I'VE decided to compliment the Dhanush starrer first. After I am done with this, I shall start work at the sequel. It can be sometime early next year. The dates are yet to be decided."
